Greetings in Christ, our Lord,
On behalf of the entire Committee of LCCA-MS Wendland Scholarship Fund I, Pastor George Chumba humbly write to submit the names of the children whose parents have applied for 2025-2026 scholarship fund, and ask for some additional money.
We have received 38 applications and the number can rise after the second selection of Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education Exams. To give each child Mk200, 000, we will need Mk7,6000,000, which is equivalent to $4,340.37. Right now, we have $689.35 in our Dollar Account and Mk309,676.90 (which is equivalent to about $176.86) in our Kwacha Account. This means that the total amount we have in both accounts is about $866.20.
Therefore, we ask for additional money if possible. We appreciate the help you have been giving us. Our children are going to school, thus building their future. Others have finished school and are employed. All because of your help through this scholarship fund. Please continue the good and charitable work you do for the betterment of our children.
May God bless you always, just as you bless us through this wonderful scholarship fund.
Attached are the names of the children whose parents have applied for.

| September 8, 2025 Dear Dr. Wendland, Sorry that we are late to respond to the information you sent us. But the fact is that your scholarship fund is helping us a lot. It started long ago. I or any among the committee members cannot remember or say exactly when this scholarship began in LCCA-MS. But Pastor Daile who is the LBI Professor now, and the Secretary of LCCA-MS Wendland Scholarship Fund Committee says that he was one of the beneficiaries of this Fund as a student and son of an LCCA pastor in 1990s. This means that it has been very helpful and beneficial to LCCA-MS. A good example is this of Pastor Daile himself. And it also means that hundreds and hundreds of LCCA-MS pastors children have benefited. This is because around forty students benefit from this fund each and every year. We hope and pray that this scholarship fund may continue. Attached is a letter written by Joyce Daile. Again, this means that the family of Daile is still benefiting, now from father to daughter. Blessings in the Lord, Pastor George Chumba EHW Scholarship Administrator in Malawi |
Dear Wendland scholarship committee members,
My name is Joyce Daile, a fourth-year student pursuing a bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources. I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the support you have given me through the scholarship program. Your assistance has been a guiding light throughout my academic journey, beginning from my secondary school years up to this stage.
At secondary level, the scholarship played a crucial role in my education. It eased the financial burden on my family, enabling me to remain focused on my studies without worrying about fees and basic school requirements. This support allowed me to stay in school consistently, perform well in my examinations, and finally to qualify for university admission. Without this assistance, it would have been very difficult for me to progress to higher education.
The program am pursuing has equipped me with knowledge and skills that will enable me to contribute to society, particularly in improving agricultural productivity, ensuring food security, and supporting farmers to make better economic decisions since the country of Malawi depends mostly on agriculture.
Your continued support has given me confidence, motivation, and hope for a brighter future. I am truly grateful for the opportunities this scholarship has opened for me. Thank you once again for investing in my education and believing in my potential.
Yours sincerely,
Joyce Daile.
